Payment mode

Two payment modes are available on daapia.com for sellers to accept payments from buyers. These are online mode and offline mode. The online payment mode allows buyers to pay for products and services using various cards and mobile money wallets without having to contact sellers to arrange payments.

Sellers must choose whether to accept payments online or offline. The default payment mode is online. If a seller chooses to accept payments offline, they must take necessary steps to set up products to prevent customers from paying them online.

When buyers make payments for products offline, they are not protected by daapia.com’s buyer protection. Buyers are made aware of this program. They are, therefore, more likely to buy from sellers who accept payments online.

The online payment mode attracts some fees. A 1.95% transaction fee is charged on every order, by the payment processor. There is also a withdrawal fee of GH₵ 10.00 per withdrawal, also charged by the payment processor. Sellers should factor these fees into their product pricing.

Withdrawals

Sellers must choose a withdrawal method by which to receive payments from daapia.com. Two withdrawal methods are available to choose from: Bank account and mobile money wallet. Sellers must make a withdrawal request for each order after the conditions outlined below had been met.

To receive payments, sellers must provide necessary bank account details or mobile money number in the withdrawal setup.

In order to mitigate the effect of the withdrawal fee, Daapia.com has set a minimum withdrawal limit (GH₵ 100.00 at the moment). Sellers are encouraged to allow their orders to accumulate as high as possible before making a withdrawal request. This way the withdrawal fee will have less impact.

Withdrawal requests will usually be approved within 1 working day if there is no issue with the order. As much as we will try to approve withdrawal requests during weekends and public holidays, we can not assure sellers of our ability to do so consistently. Sellers will usually receive the money into their bank accounts or mobile money wallets within 2 working days after a withdrawal request had been approved. Overall, sellers should expect to receive their money within 3 working days after placing a withdrawal request.

The conditions that should be met before a seller can place a withdrawal request are outlined below.

  1. An order must wait 7 days before a withdrawal request can be made for it. The order must be free of any dispute at the end of the 7 days. This is handled automatically by daapia.com.
  2. An order must be marked as completed in order to be made available for withdrawal request. It is the seller’s responsibility to mark orders as completed. See how to change an order’s status. An order should be marked as completed only when the buyer has confirmed receipt of and is satisfied with the product, or after 7 days had elapsed if no complaint has been received from the buyer.
  3. Orders must accumulate to the minimum withdrawal limit. This is handled automatically by daapia.com. If orders that qualify for withdrawal have not accumulated to the minimum withdrawal limit, the request functionality will not be available to the seller.

Store and products review and rating

Shoppers are allowed to review and rate sellers’ stores and products. Reviews and ratings allow shoppers to express their level of satisfaction with a seller’s products or store. Shoppers who have not purchased from a store may still be allowed to review and rate it so that shoppers can share their experiences from their encounters with the seller.

Featured products

Featured products must have a product image in order to be displayed. All featured products without product image will be automatically rejected.

Documentation

Documents submitted to daapia.com must be colour scanned copies. Black and white copies of coloured original documents will not be accepted.

Membership plan change

You can change your membership plan at any time. But before you can change your membership plan, you first have to cancel the existing plan. In so doing, your account is reverted to the free plan. All your products are reverted to “Draft” and you have to manually republish them. When you cancel a plan, you lose all the benefits of the plan immediately, and any remaining days are also cancelled.
