Seller store verification

Why you should verify your seller store

Seller verification is the process by which a seller proves their authenticity, by proving their identity, their business, their business location, etc. Most transactions will go smoothly without a hitch because most sellers are genuine. However, there are few unscrupulous sellers who will want to dupe buyers. They use all kinds of tricks, from listing items they do not have to deliberately giving false product descriptions. Seller verification helps to give the seller higher credibility and increase buyers’ confidence in choosing their products/services, knowing that verified sellers can be traced if something goes wrong.

A verified seller is given a badge which is displayed on their shop and product pages.

Required documentation for seller store verification

You are required to verify your store with colour scans of at least two documents: any of the following personal identifications (National ID card, Passport, Drivers’ License, Voter’s ID card or Birth Certificate) and any business address proof (e.g. electricity bill, water bill, phone bill, bank statement, etc). You can optionally verify by your social media presence using Google, Facebook, LinkedIn or Twitter.

Notes
