Choosing a Shipping Method

Importance of choosing a shipping method

This is one very important setting you must get right. You must define shipping rules for your store before shoppers can checkout your products/services. Your shipping settings define how you will get products to your customers, or how customers will access your services, once they have paid for them. They define how much you will be charging customers to ship products to them. This information is made available to the buyer during checkout. You can have different shipping options for buyers to choose from. You can define your shipping fees by country, by weight or by distance. Note that even though you can define shipping for all of these types, only one type can be active at any given time.

To configure your shipping settings, click “Settings” in the left panel menu, then click “Shipping” from the sub-menu.

Configuring the shipping method settings

  1. Click “Enable Shipping”. You must turn off shipping if you are listing a bookable or accommodation type product.
  2. From the “Processing Time” drop down, choose the number of days it will take you to package and ship products that have been purchased from your store.
  3. From the “Shipping Type” drop down, pick a shipping type to define how you will charge for shipping. You can configure your shipping based on destination country, destination distance or product weight.
  4. Click the “Save” button at the bottom right corner to update your settings.

Go to Shipping by country, Shipping by Weight or Shipping by distance.
